Few days back i watched this philosophical movie....I just loved it. I put it in a thrilling movie category because i was literally on the edge of my seat throughout. The movie was perfectly adapted from the book and had impressionable performances. Tom hanks as always was very convincing and performed his part to the t. This movie made me so intrigued about the whole symbolism thing that i actually Google and read some of the concepts like "brand"....."Christianity in 16th century" and stuff. Not even for a single moment i felt bored and my adrenaline was high throughout.
It's a prequel to the The Da Vinci Code and as they both are adopted from same author's novels , comparison is expected. for me Da Vinci code was more interesting because i loved the use of symbols in form of art. Angels and D...is more science based and Davinci ( as the name suggests) is more on art.........so i loved it. also Davinci had less bloodshed and more of mind games and puzzle solving...thus i liked it more. Ummm infact the latter had two main protagonists Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou.....so it was pretty balanced ....but here tom hanks was the only protaganist to propell the film.....
After watching these movies I some how got so interested in symbolism that since then i have been reading on this subject. Though I didn't form any particular beliefs after watching these movies; but they came as something different as compared to the usual stuff.....so they appealed a lot......
